Beginning of the year supply lists

As you shop for next year’s school supplies, we thought this list might be helpful for you to take advantage of the summer sales. This is just a list of “suggested” school supplies that your child will need at home and at school that teachers from each grade level have collaboratively come up with. If your child will be entering: Kindergarten in Sept. 2009
For School: Full sized backpack (w/extra change of clothes), healthy snack & drink, lunch or lunch money. For Home: pencils, erasers, glue bottle, crayons, scissors, primary writing tablets, glue stick, and fine felt tip marker Suggested Classroom donations: Kleenex, anti-bacterial wipes, glue sticks, dry erase markers, large ziploc bags & sandwich size ziploc bags, and brown paper bags.
If your child will be entering: First Grade in Sept. 2009
Erasers (pink rectangular), 1 pkg. dry erase markers, hand sanitizer, sturdy Ziploc snack size bags w/zipper, cleaning wipes, pencils (plain #2 yellow), post-it notes-stickies, sturdy Ziploc freezer bags (gallon size) with zipper, large glue sticks, Kleenex. For Home: glue, pencils, pencil sharpener, scissors, crayons, paper, erasers.
If your child will be entering: Second Grade in Sept. 2009
Crayons (16) colors, crayola markers, glue sticks, glue bottles, pencils, Sharpie & felt tip pens (black, blue, red), erasers, seasonal stickers, 4 composition notebooks, masking tape, antibacterial soap, scotch tape (clear), bandages (1 box), disposable camera, tissue box, white board markers (1 pkg.), 1 inch - 3 ring binder w/pocket, dividers for student binders, 3 hole folders w/pockets.
If your child will be entering: Third Grade in Sept. 2009
Backpack, Pencils (1 pkg.), highlighter, erasers, pencil pouch, pencil sharpener, paper, notebook dividers, 3 ring binder w/pocket (1inch or larger), glue, 1 clean old sock or cloth for dry erase boards, hand sanitizer, scissors, 1 box Kleenex, 2 composition books, 1 or 2 dry erase marker, Post-it notes (small or medium). For Home: Dictionary, crayons, scissors, paper, Thesaurus.
If your child will be entering: Fourth Grade in Sept. 2009
For School: 3-ring binder, pencils, erasers, whiteboard markers, box of tissue to share with the class. For Home: highlighter, pencils, markers, crayons or colored pencils, scissors, ruler, Dictionary, Thesaurus, compass, pencil sharpener, notebook paper, black fine tip marker and glue.
If your child will be entering: Fifth Grade in Sept. 2009
Dry erase markers (broad tipped), colored pencil set, protractor, 2 inch binder, 3 holed grid paper, 2 composition books, subject dividers, set of tabs for binder, scissors, dictionary, Thesaurus, ruler, glue, pencils, rubber cement, tissue box, post-it notes, fine point Sharpie pens (permanent), 3-holed lined paper, highlighters, crayons, colored markers (felt tip).
